Senior Specialist – Cyber Security

Summary

The Senior Specialist – Cyber Security is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s digital assets, infrastructure, and data by designing, implementing, and monitoring advanced cybersecurity controls. The role ensures the organization maintains a strong security posture by proactively identifying risks, responding to incidents, enforcing governance frameworks, and aligning security initiatives with regulatory and business requirements.

The role also provides technical leadership within the cybersecurity function and supports continuous improvement of security operations, architecture, and compliance programs.

Education & Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in vendor coordination and contract/SLA review.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Management, GRC, Cloud Security, Security Analytics, or related specialization.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, ISO 27001).
• Proficiency in Arabic.

Experience & Knowledge

Required

• 6–10 years of cybersecurity or information security experience within the UAE.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and firewall administration.
• Solid understanding of enterprise security technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, email security).
• Experience in risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.

Preferred

• Experience in data-driven or regulated environments.
• Experience in product evaluation, security solution analysis, and proof-of-concept assessments.
• Exposure to cloud security environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews.
