We are seeking an Estimation Manager who will be responsible for leading the estimation process for projects, ensuring accurate and competitive cost forecasts. This role involves managing a team of estimators, collaborating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. The Estimation Manager ensures that all project bids and proposals are realistic, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
Lead and manage the estimation team to deliver accurate and timely cost estimates for projects
Develop detailed project estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and contingency planning
Review and approve estimates prepared by the team to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
Analyze historical project data and industry benchmarks to improve estimation accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities
Support the bid and proposal process by providing technical and financial insights
Maintain and update estimation templates, databases, and tools to enhance efficiency
Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure estimates reflect current conditions
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior estimators
Report estimation performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
Proven experience in project estimation, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or oil & gas
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Professional certification in Cost Estimating or Quantity Surveying (preferred)
Experience with ERP or project management software (preferred)
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (preferred)
