Legal senior contracts

• Senior legal role supporting large-scale, complex oil & gas projects and multi-billion-dollar contracts.
• Provide legal expertise across commercial contracts, procurement, regulatory matters, and contractual governance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including EPC, services, procurement, and joint venture contracts.
• Advise senior management, partners, national companies, contractors, and authorities on legal, contractual, and risk matters.
• Support tendering and procurement activities, while managing disputes, claims, and litigation risks.
• Coordinate with external counsel and international legal teams to protect company interests and ensure compliance.
• Operate effectively in high-stakes, multinational, and multi-partner environments requiring strong judgment and resilience.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Law or equivalent, with 12–15+ years of experience, preferably in oil & gas or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in commercial contracts, procurement law, Iraqi law, and oil & gas contractual frameworks.
• Proven experience managing high-value, multi-stakeholder agreements and complex international negotiations.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and external partners.
• Strong integrity, autonomy, judgment, and adaptability in complex, multicultural environments.
• Experience with multinational companies, international standards, and cross-border operations.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is an advantage.
