Principal - Technology Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the availability, performance, and reliability of critical applications, databases, infrastructure, networks, and security platforms.
• Lead production change management, ensuring all deployments are reviewed, approved, and validated to minimize operational risks and service disruptions.
• Define and implement cloud strategies across public, private, and hybrid environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Manage on-premises infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, hardware lifecycle, maintenance, and modernization.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, covering identity and access management (IAM), encryption, threat detection, vulnerability management, firewalls, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) meet business requirements.
• Manage technology vendors and service providers, monitor SLAs, and optimize operational costs and technology budgets.
• Lead technology transformation initiatives, automation, DevOps adoption, and continuous improvement programs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop technology operations teams while providing executive-level reporting on performance, risks, incidents, and compliance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align technology operations with organizational strategy.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience across technology operations, application management, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and database domains.
• Strong experience in cloud architecture and operations, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as on-premises infrastructure management.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, regulatory compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Proven leadership experience managing technology teams, driving organizational change, and delivering transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to work with C-level executives and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into business-focused recommendations.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• CISSP or CEH certifications are an advantage.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is preferred.
