Project Director
Seeking a Project Director / Area Manager with 15–20 years in construction, including 5+ years senior leadership, to deliver large-scale UAE high-rise projects for a main contractor. Must manage projects from mobilization to handover, coordinating with separate client, developer, consultant, authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams. UAE experience mandatory; Dubai preferred.
• Proven experience within the main contracting / construction industry.
• Extensive experience managing high-rise building projects in the UAE.
• Strong background in the delivery of residential, commercial, mixed-use, or hospitality towers.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, high-value construction projects from mobilization to handover.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, contractual, and authority requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams including construction, planning, commercial, procurement, engineering, QA/QC, and HSE.
• Strong experience coordinating with clients, developers, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Ability to review project schedules, monitor progress, identify delays, and implement recovery plans where required.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness, including variations, claims, EOTs, subcontractor management, cost control, and project reporting.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive site productivity, construction sequencing, manpower planning, and subcontractor performance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
• Minimum 15–20 years of overall experience in the construction industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior role such as Project Director, Area Manager, Construction Director, or Senior Project Manager overseeing major projects.
• Main contractor experience is mandatory.
• Strong high-rise building experience is mandatory.
• UAE experience is mandatory.
• Dubai project experience is a strong advantage.
• Civil Engineering degree or related construction qualification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction regulations, authority approvals, QA/QC, HSE, planning, commercial management, and handover procedures.
• Experience managing projects where the client, developer, and consultant are separate entities is highly preferred.
