Quality Control (QC) Engineer – Civil
The QC Engineer – Civil is responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves monitoring construction works, performing inspections, reviewing materials, and implementing quality control processes to maintain high construction standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control plans for civil construction activities.
- Inspect civil works, including concrete structures, foundations, formwork, reinforcement, masonry, finishing works, and infrastructure.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and codes to ensure compliance.
- Monitor and verify the quality of construction materials used on-site.
- Conduct tests and inspections, including concrete cubes, soil compaction, and material sampling.
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in internal and client audits, inspections, and quality meetings.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE during site activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 3–7 years of experience in civil quality control in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of civil construction standards, codes, and QA/QC procedures
- Experience in site inspections, material testing, and documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
