We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate must have prior ADNOC project experience and a strong understanding of ADNOC HSE requirements and permit-to-work systems.
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices on site.
Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, client specifications, and local regulations.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and ongoing safety awareness programs.
Monitor work activities, including high-risk operations such as confined space entry, lifting activities, hot work, and working at height.
Participate in incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, permits, and safety reports.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety compliance.
Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure emergency preparedness.
Liaise with client representatives, supervisors, and subcontractors on all HSE matters.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field
NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory)
OSHA certification (preferred)
First Aid and Fire Fighting certifications (an advantage)
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the oil & gas, construction, or industrial sector
Mandatory experience working on ADNOC projects
Strong knowledge of ADNOC HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, and risk assessment processes
Experience in conducting inspections, audits, incident investigations, and safety training
Excellent knowledge of HSE legislation and industry best practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to identify hazards and implement effective control measures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong report writing and documentation skills
Ability to work under pressure and in a multidisciplinary environment
