Completion & Well Intervention Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site completion operations, ensuring execution aligns with approved completion programs, operational instructions, and industry best practices.
• Act as the on-site Drilling & Wells representative, supporting the Senior Drilling & Completion Supervisor in operational activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, statutory requirements, completion programs, SIMOPS dossiers, bridging documents, and applicable operational standards.
• Exercise operational leadership and functional supervision over completion crews and contractor personnel.
• Prepare operational instructions and supervise completion execution under the direction of the Senior Drilling & Completion Supervisor.
• Identify operational risks and propose alternative programs or solutions to minimize risks and maintain operational continuity.
• Participate in completion-related meetings, including pre-spud meetings, Daily Task Meetings (DTM), Toolbox Talks (TBT), and SIMOPS coordination meetings.
• Support engineering teams during preparation phases and oversee completion equipment readiness at contractor bases.
• Coordinate equipment, consumables, and logistics, including the return of materials to base.
• Participate in risk assessments relating to operational options, well remediation, and well integrity.
• Ensure hazards, near misses, and incidents are reported promptly in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Monitor completion operations, including operational tasks, technical drawings, preparation activities, and execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce execution time and costs, and promote standardization.
• Promote strong HSE practices and contribute to safety awareness and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• Higher education diploma in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling and/or completion operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in completion activities is mandatory.
• Valid Well Control Certification (IWCF or IADC).
• Good understanding of completion operations, equipment preparation, operational procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Experience coordinating completion crews, contractors, equipment readiness, and on-site operations.
• Strong risk assessment, troubleshooting, and operational problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with a proactive, dynamic, and detail-oriented approach.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
