The Director – Finance is responsible for leading financial planning, budgeting, reporting, investment management, and corporate services. The role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, drives accurate forecasting, optimizes operational costs, and maintains healthy profit margins while overseeing corporate services and administrative functions to the highest standards of efficiency and control.
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
Oversee preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in a timely and accurate manner.
Develop and maintain pricing models and strategies to support revenue growth and profitability.
Lead financial planning including budgeting, cash flow management, and balance sheet oversight.
Manage treasury activities and optimize investment returns in line with financial policies.
Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
Build forecasting models to support sales projections and target achievement.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and external stakeholders.
Drive cost optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Oversee implementation of ERP systems, workflows, and automation initiatives.
Manage corporate services including office administration, facilities, and operational support.
Control office-related expenditures including travel, inventory, and service contracts.
Manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure delivery of objectives.
Establish internal controls and risk management processes to safeguard company assets.
Lead and develop finance and corporate services teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and business initiatives.
Present financial insights, business opportunities, and performance updates to leadership.
Stay updated on financial trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
Conduct periodic risk and compliance self-assessments and implement improvement actions.
Requirements
Education & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA) preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Experience & Knowledge
Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, including managerial roles
Proven experience leading finance teams
Experience across financial operations in diverse environments mainly banking
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
Understanding of financial analysis, commercial evaluation, and business frameworks
