Foreman - Scaffolder

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of scaffolders and labourers on site.
• Plan and oversee the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding according to drawings, specifications, and design requirements.
• Adjust scaffold configurations as the building progresses (lifts, tie-ins, loading bays, edge protection).
• Coordinate with the site manager, engineers, and other trades (concrete, steel, façade, MEP, etc.) to plan scaffold access around the construction sequence.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, pre-task briefings, and site safety inspections.
• Inspect scaffolds regularly and after adverse weather; tag and hand over completed scaffolds.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company procedures, and client requirements.
• Manage materials, tools, and equipment, including stock control and requesting supplies.
• Allocate daily work, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Train and mentor junior scaffolders and apprentices.
• Report incidents, near misses, and hazards promptly, and keep accurate site records and timesheets.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in scaffolding works.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Scaffolding Foreman/Supervisor.
• Experience in scaffolding erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling.
• Good knowledge of scaffolding safety and work-at-height practices.
• Experience in the construction or industrial sector.
• Relevant scaffolding certification is preferred.
• Good communication and team supervision skills.
