Logistics Manager - Iraqi Leadership

Logistics Strategy & Operations

• Define and implement the logistics strategy supporting operations and projects.
• Lead end-to-end logistics operations for large-scale industrial projects, covering transport, warehousing, supply chain, and fleet management.
• Oversee freight forwarding and the movement of materials and equipment to project and field sites.
• Ensure seamless logistics integration with drilling, field operations, and projects.

Fleet, Warehousing & Inventory

• Manage vehicle fleets, material supply, inventory, and personnel movements in complex environments.
• Oversee warehouse operations, stock control, and material storage standards.
• Plan transport schedules and routes to meet operational demands.

Contracts & Service Providers

• Oversee logistics contracts, tenders, and service providers, ensuring cost efficiency and operational performance.
• Monitor service provider performance against agreed terms and service levels.
• Prepare and control logistics budgets and track costs against plan.

Team Leadership & Performance

• Manage and develop large logistics teams across multiple sites and functions.
• Drive KPI performance and continuous improvement across all logistics activities.
• Support local workforce development to ensure operational continuity.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and report on logistics performance to senior management.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent, with 15+ years of experience in oil & gas logistics or large-scale industrial environments.
• Strong expertise in logistics operations, supply chain, inventory management, transport, warehousing, and contract management.
• Proficient in logistics systems and SAP.
• Proven operational leadership, team management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experienced in working within complex, high-pressure, and multinational environments.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French is an advantage.
